My Flying Saucer Story

I guess I was in my late teens. I was standing on my front porch on Arnold Avenue one evening, looking at the sky. All of a sudden, a big ball of light, softball size, zoomed across the sky from south to north about 50 or 60 degrees above the horizon. I could see it above the trees on the street. It disappeared behind the houses across the street. In a few seconds, it zoomed past going the opposite direction.

Who knows what it was. No one else ever said they saw it. I never read anything in the paper about it either. It looked too close to be a shooting star. A jet couldn't have made the turn back as quickly as the few seconds between my sightings. Another of Life's great mysteries!
